What is Wellness Coaching?

Your health and wellness is important. As the saying goes, “If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything.” Investing time and energy towards improving your overall wellness is an investment in your future self.

Wellness coaching is a back and forth conversation designed to help you visualize your ideal wellness, plan and take the steps to get there. Through this process, you become aware of your own inner strengths that are linked to your motivation. You learn to use these strengths to pull you forward towards each goal on your way to your ideal self.

Other coaching methods tell you what to do and how to do it which can be good for things such as sports where you are working on a specific technique over and over. Then there are medical practitioners who give you a prescription or a treatment plan to follow to improve your health and wellness.

Wellness coaching is focused on behavior change by asking questions and then truly listening to your responses in order to identify your unique strengths and motivation. Then, these are matched up to your actions in the form of realistic goals you are excited to achieve.
